recent release: The Buffer Zone
Musical narrative about a soldier in a UN Buffer Zone watching over an alienating landscape. Electronic audiotheatre for singer, cello, piano and soundscapes.

“Kyriakides handles emotive materials with a sensitivity that gives intelligible form to personal memories and volatile feelings.”
(The Wire, UK)

“..a musical narrative from whose spell it is hard to escape. And just like with Steve Reich’s or Terre Thaemlitz's music you wouldn't even want to try to escape it. The impact of the sligthly transcendental and unreal mixture of contemplativeness and degeneration is just too strong."
(Debug, Germany)

“...this is the most beautiful music I've heard from the always excellent Cypriot composer.”
(Touching Extremes, Italy)
