string quartet . computer processing (15')

This is a reworking of material from the saxophone quartet. I use a program I wrote on supercollider to process each player of the quartet individually and send each part to one of four speakers spread around the room. The processing consists of chunks of material which are written into the computer buffer (switched on when the player plays above a certain threshold) and then cut up on rhythmic prinicples. The size and speed of the chunks of material varies throughout.
